‘What has Impressionism ever done for us’ by PAM CARTWRIGHT
Impressionism (a later tag) took to the stage in Paris in 1874 thanks to a group of disgruntled French artists. It was a radical new approach born out of frustration with the traditional Beaux Art Academies in a rapidly changing world. This illustrated talk seeks to explore the reasons for their frustration and where their ideas and experiments led, and are still inspiring us today.

‘Still Life in Oils’ by PAUL OAKLEY
Wiltshire artist Paul Oakley is mainly self taught and developed his skills as an oil painter through attending Norfolk Painting School. As well as exhibiting, he enjoys sharing what he has learnt and continues to learn through running courses and giving demonstrations.
